I mostly write Marvel fic and lurk quietly in corners. I probably won't be posting much here, but I'd consider cross-posting stuff from my AO3 and tumblr if there is an audience for it.
Feel free to come talk to me any time!
Letter to Creator
Nov. 24th, 2024 12:16 pmThank you for taking on my assignment! I’ll appreciate whatever you create, but here is some information that should help you along.
General Likes
Just about anything goes for art, give me the characters I like and some cats and I’ll be happy. So, most of the rest of this letter is going to focus on ideas for fic, though the ideas can be used for comics if that’s your speed. I tend to like angsty and plotty stories, but certainly enjoy fluff and humor as well. I prefer canon compliant and canon divergent works, but I can enjoy a well-built AU, especially if it has a strong focus on characterization.
Both Gen friendship and ship fics are good. If you are going to make something shippy, I like getting together stories more than established relationship. I also enjoy pre-slash! I like a bit of tension and headbutting/banter in my ships. Enemies-to-lovers and friends-to-lovers are both banger tropes. I’m fine with a bit of smut and even dubcon with certain ships, I’ll mention which below.
Some other things I like: Action, Mission fic, Time travel, time loops, body swap, arranged marriage/marriage of convenience, found family fics, cuddling, misunderstandings, Protectiveness, Identity Porn, UST, pining, cuddling, hate to love, magic, fantasy, science fiction, hurt/comfort, dealing with traumatic stuff that happened in canon, slavefic, sex pollen/heats/mating cycles
General Dislikes
(Permanent) major character death, unhappy ending, drug use, cheating, dom/sub, bondage, pain play, bathroom play, cheating, character bashing of any kind, high school/college AUs, rockstar/band Aus, Coffee Shop AUs, other no powers profession-based AUs, AUs where characters have kids when they didn’t in canon, Genderswap AUs (genderswap as a thing that happens in story is fine, just nothing like an AU where a canonically male character was born female).

Fandom/Ship/Character-specific Thoughts
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Tony & Avengers Team: Team as family is a big trope for me and Tony is one of my all time favs, my blorbiest blorbo if you will, so this is one of my favorite non-romantic relationships. Tony does his best to come off as an aloof asshole, but he cares so much and feels so guilty when he can’t help or people get hurt. Not to mention his bad relationship with his father and all the trauma he went through in IM1. I want the Avengers to see some of that less obvious side of him. I especially love stories that start off with them in their awkward, getting to know each other phase then build their relationship up. I feel so nostalgic for post-Avengers tower fics like that.
Peter & Tony: Okay, so I know Iron Dad is super popular, but I’m not really into Tony parenting Peter per se, just acting as mentor/older friend. Peter has (had) his own parental figures and I don’t really want them replaced. So yeah, please no AUs with Tony as Peter’s dad. I can see Tony feeling responsible for Peter and wanting to do right by him, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be as a parent. Peter too, probably admires Tony and wants to impress him.
Steve/Tony: This one is my OTP. The way that they are just so aware of each other, how everything hinges on them trusting each other. There’s a lot of baggage there, early on with Steve’s connection to Howard and later with Civil War, but they really think so much of each other despite it. Would totally be on board with smut for this one.
Loki/Tony: I love the idea of a Loki redemption, which is made possible by Tony’s belief that anyone can improve themselves, but Loki just unabashedly being a chaotic neutral villain is great too. A smutty fill would be okay here too.
Bucky/Tony: All the angst of what happened to Bucky + Bucky killing Tony’s parents is just delicious. So much healing to be done. Love the parallels between them. Smut okay.
Bucky/Sam: Just these two barely putting up with each other because of Steve, but eventually learning to appreciate each other (even if they’re so annoyed about it). Even after they get together I picture them as the couple that is always messing with each other and getting on one another’s nerves, but somehow you don’t doubt that they’re totally in love. Smut okay.
Loki: I'm still not over the Loki S2 finale.
Moon Knight
Moon Knight (Marc & Steven & Jake): I love these guys, they’re so angsty. Marc is just so (understandably) traumatized and depressed and full of guilt. Jake, we don’t see much of, but he’s isolated from the system and still working for Khonshu, so that has to suck. Steven is obviously the happiest of the bunch, but he’s still so lonely until he connects with Marc and Layla. I don’t really like splitting up the system into different bodies as a setting, since their DID is such a bit part of who they are.
Jean-Paul DuChamp & Layla & Marc: Marc and his support system. We don’t really get to see Frenchie in the series, but I like to imagine he’s not too different from his comics counterpart.
Layla/Marc/Steven: Layla is great and the system being in a relationship with her is really sweet, but I’m not interested in any smut with this ship or even anything that is too focused on romance. Something lowkey ship-wise would make me happiest with this one.
Steven Grant/Dane Whitman: Museum Boyfriends aka my favorite little rarepair. These two would be so soft and cute and nerdy together, please let it happen.
Jake Lockley/Tony Stark: I see these two as a good pair to have a one-night stand or other short term relationship. They're here to have fun and talk about cars.
Khonshu: He’s an asshole of a god that totally takes advantage of Marc and the rest of the system, but I think he genuinely wants to protect travelers of the night.
Daredevil
Matt (& Claire & Father Lantom): Matt is another angsty character full of guilt. He wants to help people so badly and is so angry about injustice, I love it. Claire and Father Lantom are great when exposed to his particular brand of angst because they’re just like, “Matt, why are you like this?” but do their best to help anyway.
Matt & Karen: I love Karen, so I'd be delighted if you included some Matt and Karen (and Foggy!) friendship.
Matt/Foggy: I love the history between these two, the mutual pining is strong here. You can go pure friendship to getting together on this one, how well they know each other, the inside jokes, it’s all delightful or you could throw in a wrinkle with Foggy still being upset with Matt about hiding that he was Daredevil from him and all that. Smut okay.
Marvel Comics
Steve/Tony: I’ll take just about any version of Steve and Tony in the comics, whether that’s 616, Warpworld, Ults, Noir, or 1872. I just love seeing these guys across the multiverse and I think each version has something different to offer.
Captain Americat/Iron Mouse: Okay, so this is kind of just Steve/Tony again, but this time as a cat and mouse. Canon gives us these weird AUs, how can we just ignore them?
Dr. Shapiro: How come no one talks about the genius talking cat working at Tony’s company? Please give this very smart kitty some attention!
Jeff the Land Shark: Jeff is such a cutie.
DC
Billy Batson: I desperately want more Billy Batson works and all the possibilities here seem like such fun. Billy is great fun as a kid that turns into an adult superhero. Homeless Billy is everything to me. Like here’s this orphan living on the streets and he’s so vulnerable and has seen the worst in people, but keeps trying to help. Put him with Bruce, put him with Clark, put him with the entire Justice League, something interesting is going to happen. DCEU Billy is a bit of a different beast than comics Billy, being a bit older and more...let’s say jaded, but he has his interesting points too! He’s a bit more goofy and prone to making dumb decisions, which makes for some pretty humorous situations.
Bruce/Clark: What can I say? Superbat is iconic. They’re friendship spans decades. They co-parent Robin on occasion. There’s identity porn. I also really enjoy DCEU Superbat in particular. I love that Bruce and Clark are kind of broken in these movies and I love stories where they figure out how to be less broken together, especially if they start out at odds with each other. Bruce grieving his son and regretting his choices, Clark struggling to deal with what happened in MoS, show me how they hurt and how they heal, at least a little bit.
Jason & Bruce: Give these two a chance to repair their relationship!!
Danny Phantom
I'd love to see some gen stuff for this fandom. Just anything involving Danny, Dark Danny (Dan), and/or Vlad would be great. Put those guys in situations and I'll eat it up.
If you want to get shippy:
Dash/Danny: Okay, so Dash bullies Danny and Danny (mostly) just puts up with it, but I think there is something interesting to explore here because Dash clearly has a lot of repressed something he’s dealing with, not to mention that he admires Phantom. I can see Danny having more complicated feelings toward Dash as well. He obviously hates the way Dash treats him, but seems to want his acceptance and approval. I don’t know, whether it is platonic or romantic, I see some room for Dash and Danny’s relationship to grow.
Stranger Things
Eleven & the Party: Eleven has been through so much trauma and like is barely re-socialized enough to interact with society. This poor girl probably does not need to get involved in situations, but I want to see it anyway. We know the Party has her back (as long as they can figure out what is actually wrong.)
Eleven/Mike: I’m cool with something focused more on just Mike and Eleven where they’re together, but I don’t particularly want something focused on a romance here. Basically, I think they’re a cute canon relationship, so I don’t mind them showing up like that, but I’m not really shippy about it.
Billy & Max: Billy is awful and full repressed gay and mommy issues and parental abuse, which is probably why I want to see him forced to be vulnerable. He and Max hate each other so who better to pair him up with? Maybe they can work out some of their issues and get along better.
Steve/Billy: You know who else I want to see Billy have to be vulnerable with? Steve. Like wow is there some tension there. Plus Steve has learned to be a better person and maybe Billy could use some of that.
Steve/Eddie: I like that these two had impressions of each other that are proved wrong and that they’re both sort of awkwardly hovering around Dustin as older friends. I’m still kind of finding out what kind of dynamic I like for them, so go with whatever rings true for you.
Steve & Dustin: This is just such a fun friendship. I like how it brings out Steve’s responsible and caring side. Dustin can be so off the wall, it’s great that Steve can rein him in a bit. But also Dustin encourages Steve to be less conscious of other people’s view of him and be more himself.
Ted Lasso
Ted/Trent: This ship is so cute because you can totally see Trent falling for Ted’s goofy charms despite himself. Both of these men had layers too! Ted is so warm and kind, but has this deep well of sadness in him. Trent tries to be snarky and cold and aloof, but you can see a real passion for the sport underneath that as well as an idealistic/optimistic streak. And like they’re both older, divorced men with children and there’s just something nice about them finding each other at that age. It would be especially fun to see Ted have a much belated bisexual awakening over Trent. I could see some smut for this one, if you were inclined.
Keeley/Jamie/Roy: They’re cute together, especially with Roy and Jamie’s contentious relationship. Jamie clearly has some admiration for both Keeley and Roy, even if in Roy’s case it had turned sour. Both of them contributed a lot to Jamie growing as a character, which I appreciate. Roy too learned a lot from Keeley and Jamie. All of this applies to a Jamie/Roy relationship as well. I’m not interested in any smut with this ship or even anything that is too focused on romance. Something lowkey ship-wise would make me happiest with this one, but I do like seeing them interact and wouldn’t mind if it were in the context of a romantic relationship.

Animal Transformation
I’m not so into shifter stories, but I absolutely adore characters getting turned into animals thanks to outside forces, whether it’s played for angst or humor or fluff. This can be the point-of-view of the character turned into a cat, someone close to them, or even an outside POV.
It can be fun to throw an identity porn angle in where the other characters don’t realize a certain character has been turned into a cat. There is some delicious angst potential there, with the one turned into a cat worried about identifying themselves and their loved ones not knowing where they went. However, everyone knowing what happened from the start has its own appeal.
Prideful/villainous characters getting turned into cats and being so angry about it is delightful. You thought you were hot shit? Well, sorry, you’re fluffy and weigh less than 20lbs now. On a similar note, you can explore how scary it might be to suddenly be small and vulnerable. That’s not to say that characters turned into cats can’t also appreciate certain aspects of the experience.
I don’t particularly like stories where characters think someone has been turned into a cat, but it turns out not to be the case.
Cat Characters
I like cats that can be a bit mischievous, not just total sweethearts. A cat that is slow to trust can be rewarding too. Cats just showing up, adopting their humans is a fun trope. Didn’t want a cat, but falling in love with them anyway.
Cat Person
Alternate Universes where some/all characters are cat people can be fun, if you really get into world building and explore some social issues, power dynamics and stuff like that. A more canon-y character suddenly turning into a cat person is also great fun. I’d enjoy the smut angle for the ships I indicated I’d like smut for. I wouldn’t say no if you explored themes of dysphoria in cases of suddenly turning into a cat person.

Loki: He’s got major cat energy and I want to see him causing trouble in cat from.
Moon Knight

Khonshu: He’s an asshole of a god that totally takes advantage of Marc and the rest of the system, but I think he genuinely wants to protect travelers of the night. Still, he’s high and mighty enough that seeing him stuck as a cat would be funny.

Jeff the Land Shark: Jeff is such a cutie, but he’s definitely dog-coded. I want to see how he interacts with some of Marvel’s cats like Dr. Shapiro and Alpine!
DC Comics
Billy Batson: I desperately want more Billy Batson works and all the possibilities here seem like such fun. Billy is great fun as a kid that turns into an adult superhero. Homeless Billy is everything to me. Like here’s this orphan living on the streets and he’s so vulnerable and has seen the worst in people, but keeps trying to help. Bruce/Clark: What can I say? Superbat is iconic. They’re friendship spans decades. They co-parent Robin on occasion. There’s identity porn.
Jason & Bruce: I saw this in the tag set and couldn't resist throwing it in. Let Bruce’s angsty anti-hero son have some kitty time please. Give these two a chance to repair their relationship!!
DC Extended Universe
Bruce/Clark: I love that Bruce and Clark are kind of broken in these movies and I love stories where they figure out how to be less broken together, especially if they start out at odds with each other. Bruce grieving his son and regretting his choices, Clark struggling to deal with what happened in MoS, show me how they hurt and how they heal, at least a little bit.
Billy Batson: DCEU Billy is a bit of a different beast than comics Billy, being a bit older and more...let’s say jaded, but he has his interesting points too! He’s a bit more goofy and prone to making dumb decisions, which makes for some pretty humorous situations. The Shazam family are a fun lot of side characters and it would be hilarious to see Billy trying to sneak a cat past them. Any of the relationship tags from the DC comics section apply here as well.
Danny Phantom
I’m thinking An attempt to overshadow someone goes wrong and now the character of your choice is stuck in a cat’s body. Or we could go with some powerful Cat obsessed ghost mucking things up for the everyone. Another fun bit to add here would be cats being able to see ghosts, even while they’re invisible.
Dark Danny aka Dan: My number one pick for “turned into a cat and absolutely pissed about it.” He would take it so badly, it would be amazing. Just with the way he covers up his grief with a murderous rampage, you take away this shitty coping mechanism (by turning him into something small, furry, and mostly harmless) and maybe, after he’s worn down enough, you can actually make some progress with him. Underneath all that he misses his friends and family doesn’t he?
Vlad: He would probably handle getting turned into a cat marginally better than Dan, but only marginally. He’d be so bitter about it and plotting revenge for any perceived humiliation he endured. Of course he’d also be trying to figure out how to spin the situation into his favor, quite possibly furthering his creepy stalker tendencies. In the end he’s a lonely man, craving the least bit of positive attention especially from Danny or his mom, so if he gets that he might not count this situation as a total loss.
Danny: by comparison, he would handle turning into a cat quite well. Would he be freaked? Of course. Would he find something cool about the situation, even briefly? Yes. He’s an optimistic guy and pretty decent at problem solving (especially with Tucker, Sam, and Jazz there to help him) so while getting turned into a cat would cause some problems for him, he’d get through it okay.
Severance
Mark Scout & Cat: I’m picturing something like Ricken giving Mark a cat to help with his depression and things spiraling from there because outie Mark is in no place to take care of an animal and innie Mark shows up at work with scratched and cat dander all over him and MDR doesn’t know what that’s about.
Mark & Helly & Dylan & Irving & Cat: For this one, it’s a cat somehow getting on to the severed floor and making trouble in the MDR office. No knows how to deal with it, like sure they know what cats are in the abstract, but hell if they know how to get one to stop walking on their keyboards.
Anyway, yeah, give me all these awkward people interacting with a cat please.
Stranger Things
Eleven & the Party: Eleven has been through so much trauma and like is barely re-socialized enough to interact with society. This poor girl probably does not need to idk accidentally send her mind to a cat with her powers and get suck there, but I want to see it anyway. We know the Party has her back (as long as they can figure out what is actually wrong.) (Max was not included in the tag, but feel free to add her is you want.)
Eleven/Mike: I’m cool with something focused more on just Mike and Eleven where they’re together, I did tag it after all, but I don’t particularly want something focused on a romance here.

Bodyswap swap letter to creator
Aug. 3rd, 2022 09:20 pm
I prefer getting together fic over established relationships, but will take an established relationship if you think it works better for the story. I’m also perfectly happy with any of my listed ships being left firmly in pre-slash territory, so don’t worry if something feels too gen. Enemies to Lovers and Friends to Lovers are great tropes. I usually like a bit of tension and headbutting in my relationships. Smut can be fun and I’m cool with a bit of dubcon.
I’d like things to be more canon-y for everything here. Obviously strict adherence to canon isn’t possible for everything, but something canon divergent should be workable for most of them. That said, if you really want to go full AU, I’d rather you go sci-fi/fantasy with it. I’m fine with an omegaverse AU too, as long as it doesn’t get too modern-no powers setting.
MCU:
Steve/Tony: This one is my OTP. The way that they are just so aware of each other, how everything hinges on them trusting each other. There’s a lot of baggage there, early on with Steve’s connection to Howard and later with Civil War, but they really think so much of each other despite it.
Bucky/Tony: All the angst of what happened to Bucky + Bucky killing Tony’s parents is just delicious. So much healing to be done.
Loki/Tony: I love the idea of a Loki redemption, which is made possible by Tony’s belief that anyone can improve themselves, but Loki just unabashedly being a chaotic neutral villain is great too.
Stephen/Tony: I really like the tension and angst with these two. On a surface level, they are very similar, snarky jerks with a heart of gold, which is why they bounce off each other so hard, but I think Tony is softer and more sentimental than Stephen.
I love Karen, so I'd be delighted if you included some Matt, Foggy, and Karen friendship.
Scott/Jimmy: This one is just a fun little rare pair I like to indulge in. They’re so awkward and cute, I just want to see these guys flail around trying to figure things out.
Moon Knight: I love these guys, they’re so sad. I don’t really like splitting up the system into different bodies as a setting, but if one of the system alters swapped with another person and the rest of the system stayed in the body, that is fine. Or the whole system can swap together! I like Layla, but it’s up to you if you want to include her or not.
Marvel Comics:
Steve/Tony: I listed 616, Ults, Noir, and 1872 stony. I just love seeing these guys across the multiverse and I think each version has something different to offer.
Dr. Shapiro: I could not believe no one told me there was a talking cat working at Tony’s company. As a bodyswap target there is a lot of fun to be had here, especially since Dr. Shapiro is a genius and might have more opinions on being in Tony’s human body than the average cat. Plus you have all the fun of sticking Tony in a cat’s body, but he can use Dr. Shapiro’s collar to talk!
Venom: I’m only passingly familiar with comics venom, but I see some interesting potential here with swapping with venom since he’s an alien.
DCEU:
Bruce/Clark: I love that Bruce and Clark are kind of broken in these movies and I love stories where they figure out how to be less broken together, especially if they start out at odds with each other. Bruce grieving his son and regretting his choices, Clark struggling to deal with what happened in MoS, show me how they hurt and how they heal, at least a little bit.
Billy Batson: Billy is great fun as a kid that turns into an adult superhero. The Shazam family are a fun lot of side characters and it would be hilarious to see Bruce as Billy interacting with them, just as it would be hilarious to see Billy’s reaction to Bruce Wayne’s everything. (But also you wanted play it a bit fast and loose with canon and give me homeless kid Billy more akin to earlier comics and cartoons, I would not say no)
Stranger Things:
Steve/Eddie: I like that these two had impressions of each other that are proved wrong and that they’re both sort of awkwardly hovering around Dustin as older friends. I’m still kind of finding out what kind of dynamic I like for them, so go with whatever rings true for you.
Robin & Steve: This is a great friendship, love the banter and how they roast each other when they’re being dumb. Swapping them could be fun for playing with gender and give Robin a chance to flirt with some girls!
